Most regional cities lost jobs over year
Greater Cincinnati lost 5,000 private-sector jobs between November 2007 and November 2008, according to employment figures released Tuesday by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The metro area ranked 62nd of the 100 largest metros in the U.S. Columbus and Youngstown were the only regional cities to gain jobs over the 12-month period.

Jobless rates spike in WNC
ASHEVILLE – Western North Carolina’s jobs situation deteriorated significantly in November, according to state figures released Tuesday.
