Western Carolina Community Action has opened the Etowah Children’s Center More at Four Pre-Kindergarten Program in the building formerly occupied by Etowah Library at 233 Brickyard Road.

WCCA Children’s Programs serve children in Henderson and Transylvania counties in Head Start, More at Four and Early Head Start. The More at Four program is supported by the N.C. Department of Public Instruction’s Office of School Readiness, which helps prepare children for school through early education.

The Etowah center is currently operating as a half-day program, 8:15 a.m.-noon, and will become a full-day program next year. The program is available to children who are 4 years old by Aug. 31 of the current program year and will be entering kindergarten the following year.

For more information or an application, call Susan Bullard at 828-693-1711, ext. 134.
