Visual Artists Gallery opens in Rutherfordton

The Rutherford County Visual Arts Center has opened at 173 North Main St., across from KidSenses Children’s Museum.

The center is operated by the Rutherford County Visual Artists Guild, a nonprofit group of more than 50 artists, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The center houses a gallery, gift shop and studio space for instruction and workshops. The art of guild members, including paintings, ceramics, wood carving, sculpture, metal work, jewelry and fiber art, is available for purchase.

The center will be open 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, with extended hours until 6:30 p.m. on Fridays. For more information, call 288-5009 or visit www.rcvag.com/.
