Three East Tennessee companies cut 137 jobs

The Department of Labor and Workforce Development reported today that 137 people are being laid off as two companies are closing their East Tennessee facilities and a third has announced a mass lay-off.

Goody’s cuts 154 jobs in Middle Tennessee

As Goody’s Family Clothing finishes its liquidation, 154 Nashville area workers are out of a job.
According to a report released Tuesday by the Tennessee Department of Labor, the employees at Goody’s retail locations in and around Nashville will be let go at the end of February.

Brunswick cuts another 70 Sea Ray jobs

Brunswick Corp. cut another 70 jobs today at its Knoxville-based Sea Ray Boat division.
In addition to 70 workers laid off at the company’s Knoxville Plant, 70 workers at the Riverview Plant were laid off, as part of a previously announced closing of that operation.
