N.C. law extends COBRA enrollment

A new N.C. law gives laid-off employees of small businesses more time to enroll in North Carolina’s version of the federal COBRA coverage. The law extends the enrollment period to 120 days from 60 days. The coverage, often called “mini-COBRA,” will ultimately allow employees to receive the federal stimulus package’s 65 percent COBRA premium subsidy. [...]
